Wagner gained well-deserved recognition due to his rich textures, harmonies and brilliant orchestration. “Ride of the Valkyries” comes from his opera “Die Walküre”, for which he also wrote the libretto (the text). The composition is very well-known up to this day. It has been used in movies such as “Rebel Without a Cause”, “Apocalypse Now” and “Valkyrie”.
