“Roar” by Katy Perry comes from her album “Prism” and became one of the most popular songs in 2013. With the jungly and empowering vibe, Katy quickly hit the charts and remained at the top for a long time. We think this song is a great example for beginner piano players, so we’ve prepared a sheet of letter notes to help you learn it!

The easy letter notes show you which keys to play and their colors indicate the octave. For an easier time with letter notes, make sure to grab yourself a set of stickers to put on your keyboard. You can find them to the right of this tutorial. Once you download and print them, stick them to your keyboard in the correct order and you’re good to go!

Think of it as a karaoke for piano. Once the noteblock hits the virtual keyboard, it’s the time to play the right key. Don’t forget to keep the keys pressed down regarding how long the note is. Quick tip: if you keep failing over and over again, make a pause and come back after ten minutes of doing something else. Making pauses is as important as making sound – just like in music!
